The Historical Sun Temple of Nirath- Himachal Pradesh

The  Sun temple of Nirath ( Rampur ) dedicated to the Surya Narayan, Surya Deva or  ( Sun God )  has a great  historical and mythological  value for Himachal Pradesh.The temple is situated at the elevation of 950 m. in Satluj river valley of  Rampur- Bushahar.  Their are not so many temples of Surya Deva in India after very famous 'Konark Sun Temple' in Orissa and 'Nirath Sun Temple' in Himachal Pradesh. Nirath Sun temple is the only Sun temple in North India. In the hills and valleys of God in Himalaya  every temple have been built in reverence of valley Gods and Godesses but  this is a rare one in Himachal where inhabitants of the valley worships the pre-vedic God 'Surya'. Hatkoti Temples - The Heritage Of Himachal Pradesh

Hatkoti Temples Hatkoti Temple is located at Jubbal (Hatkoti), 100 K.M. from Shimla the capital of the Himachal Pradesh. Hatkoti is town in Indian State of Himachal Praesh and located at the banks of Pabbar river.It is a beautiful and divine  place in the hemlet of Pabbar Valley.   The Hatkoti temples are a group of temples located on the scenic banks of River Pabbar. नगरकोट - काँगड़ा का ऐतिहासिक किला

      काँगड़ा किला     ( फोटो -शिवा ) काँगड़ा का किला , नगरकोट , भीमनगर  नाम  से  प्रसिद्ध  यह  किला हिमाचल प्रदेश के  पुराना  काँगड़ा  शहर  के दक्षिण -पश्चिम  में  स्थित  है तथा बाण गंगा  एवं मांझी नदी के संगम पर एक पहाड़ी की चोटी पर निर्मित है|  किले की प्राचीर से धौलाधार पर्वतमाला का  विहंगम दृश्य दिखाई पड़ता है । मान्यता के अनुसार , इस किले का निर्माण महाभारत काल में त्रिगर्त के  तत्कालीन राजा सुशर्मा चंद्र ने करवाया था । महाभारत ग्रन्थ के अनुसार - त्रिगर्त( काँगड़ा रियासत को वैदिक काल में त्रिगर्त कहा जाता था ), के राजा सुशर्मा चंद्र ने महाभारत युद्ध में कौरवों को सहयोग दिया था। यह भी कहा जाता है की  कौरवों की पराजय से पहले सुशर्मा चंद्र अपने सैनिकों के साथ  युद्ध क्षेत्र से पलायन कर अपनी राजधानी मुल्तान ( पाकिस्तान में ) न लौट कर  त्रिगर्त( काँगड़ा ) कि ओर  कूच किया तथा  त्रिगर्त रियासत को अपने अधिपत्य में ले लिया । ...
