हिमालय की गोद में बसा हिमाचल प्रदेश देवी-देवताओं और ऋषि-मुनियों की तपोभूमि है। इन्हीं पवित्र स्थलों में से एक है शिकारी देवी मंदिर, जो मंडी ज़िले की करसोग-जंझेली घाटी की ऊँची पहाड़ी पर, लगभग 2950 मीटर की ऊँचाई पर स्थित है। यह मंदिर मां दुर्गा के शक्ति स्वरूप को समर्पित है और इसके पीछे कई रहस्य आज भी जीवित हैं। कहा जाता है कि मार्कण्डेय ऋषि ने यहां तपस्या कर देवी दुर्गा को प्रसन्न किया था। पांडवों ने भी अज्ञातवास के दौरान यहां पूजा-अर्चना की और विजय का आशीर्वाद प्राप्त किया। सबसे बड़ा रहस्य यह है कि इस मंदिर पर आज तक कोई छत नहीं टिक पाई। जब-जब छत का निर्माण किया गया, वह रहस्यमय तरीके से ढह गया। इसके अलावा, यहां भारी बर्फबारी होती है, पर मंदिर के ऊपर कभी बर्फ नहीं टिकती — यह बात विज्ञान भी नहीं समझ पाया है। शिकारी देवी मंदिर से पीर पंजाल, धौलाधार, शिमला और कुल्लू की पर्वत श्रृंखलाओं का अद्भुत दृश्य दिखाई देता है। आसपास का घना जंगल लगभग 72 वर्ग किलोमीटर में फैला है, जिसमें हिमालयन मोनाल, कस्तूरी मृग, काला भालू जैसे दुर्लभ जीव-जंतु पाए जाते हैं। पहले यह इलाका शिकार के लिए प्रसि...
